The Golden Hour: Wildlife in the African Light

"In Kenya, there are two moments of absolute grace, when the sky ignites and the earth seems to hold its breath: the blue hour of dawn and the incandescent gold of dusk. This gallery is dedicated to those fleeting moments when light sculptures the living, transforming every encounter into a cinematic scene.

Whether in the vastness of the Maasai Mara or under the watchful eye of Kilimanjaro in Amboseli, I have sought to capture this magical transition. Here, you will see the silhouette of a giraffe stretching against a horizon of fire, or a family of elephants crossing the salt flats in the morning mist each outline highlighted by a rim of golden light that magnifies the power of these giants.

To photograph during 'between dog and wolf' (the twilight hours) is to embrace the play of shadows and extreme contrasts. It is the moment when predators awaken and herds gather, bathed in a dreamlike atmosphere that lasts only a few minutes. Through these images, I invite you to feel the crispness of the first rays and the fading warmth of the final sun, where the color of the sky dictates the rhythm of survival.

This collection is a celebration of Kenyan poetry a tribute to that unique light which, every day, re-enchants the wild world and transforms the dust of the savanna into a rain of earthly stars."
